Of all the benefits that a company could offer to its employees—more vacation, greater flexibility, free yoga classes—most would argue that money still rules.

In that vein, we’ve scrutinized this year’s 100 Best Companies to Work For and found the places that offer the highest salary to their full-time employees. From law firms to biotech companies, there’s a wide-range of industries that are willing to offer a base salary that’s among the highest in the U.S.

That is not to ignore the impact of non-financial motivators. In a 2009 McKinsey survey, respondents viewed three non-cash incentives—praise from immediate managers, attention from leadership, and a chance to lead projects or task forces—as no less or even more effective motivators than cash bonuses, increased base pay and stock options. As you’ll read from this list, companies pair a high level of compensation with some of the most unique benefits around, from free tennis lessons to getaways to the Caribbean, all in the name of buttressing an employees’ overall feeling of security.

Here are the top-paying companies who offer the most money to their full-time salaried employees:

The provision doesn’t stop there—Cooley offers up to $65 per month reimbursement on health club dues, yoga classes, tennis lessons, and other fitness activities. Aside from that, staff members are encouraged to burnish their knowledge through seminars and courses, which Cooley will reimburse up to $3,000 per year for.

There are cash bonuses for those who reach a milestone year of service with the firm, from year 1 to year 10. And for those who are interested in furthering their education, they receive $5,250 in tuition reimbursement annually for use towards completion of a degree or work-related courses.

Team members at their South San Francisco campus are offered compensation for taking alternative modes of transport to work; it’s $12 a day for walking or biking to work, and those who carpool earn $8 a day. Genentech also subsidizes the cost of accessing two onsite childcare centers at its headquarters.
